I highly recommend that if it were your first time and didn’t have much time to plan your trip that you start with one of the many free walking tours in Berlin. It will give you a feel of the city and also find out the various current interest of what the city has to offer. Now some of them will require you to have a ticket. But they are still free.
I ended up staying at the Hostel. Many of the hostels have partnered with many tour agencies and have free walking tours almost every day. The one that my hostel provided was not at a convenient time for my schedule, so I ended up going with another one that found.
Though many of these walking tours will overlap with a few key locations, like a few that I mentioned in my video, they will have slight variation depending on your interest. So based on your interest please look over some of the free walking tour options so that you will get a tour that you would enjoy.
List of free walking tours (2017):
- Tours by foot Berlin
- Sandemans New Europe The one that I took. Free but you will still have to get a ticket either online or in person at the meetup point.
- Original Europe Tours | Berlin
- Alternative Berlin If you are into the arts and wall drawings, Graffiti and tags then this might be a tour your m might want to consider.
What are your top 5 places to visit in Berlin? Would love to hear from you.
